Since the very first Clapham Opera Festival, our home has been the Church of the Holy Spirit on Narbonne Avenue in Clapham.

We say home, because it is more than a simple venue for the Festival.  We feel welcomed for what the Festival is trying to achieve, not simply for filling a venue.

When the Festival was simply an idea in the head of the founder Marie Soulier, no venue could see what Marie trying to do. No one could see what the Festival could become. No venue that is, except the Church of the Holy Spirit, the Reverend Ruth Burge-Thomas, Treasurer Nick Jenni and everyone associated with the Church. Since those first days, the spirit of community and support from the Church has been overwhelming.

The Church of the Holy Spirit is truly a Friend of the Festival.
